About Us

img_0356We are Mike &  Dawn Jeglic, a pug named Lola, and a boat called Cirila.  This website and blog are about our journey from land to sea.   It is about life in transition after 35 year careers.  It is about the places and people we meet along the way.  It’s our Jeglic.net.

Lola is chief mascot and non-human ambassador.  You’ll see a lot of pictures of Lola, like “Doug the Pug”, only cuter.   She’s the “Pug on the Tug”, and you can follow her antics on her own page.

Lola was on her way to the pound when Dawn had a chance to intervene.  She’s brought us much joy and shed 374 lbs of fur in the seven years since.

Finally, Cirila is our Kadey Krogen 42 trawler. She’s named after my Grandmother, for her toughness, resilience, and love of the sea.

imageCirila is hull #99 of this venerable little ship which is “at home on any sea”.  We’ve owned her for over 3-1/2 years, and have been full time live aboards’ for most of that She is part of a dream that began 10 years ago, and is central to the planning and doing yet to come.  You can read more about her here.  Cirila
